Why can our modern technology not mimic these ancient people's accomplishments?
Are our 'scientists' biased to only let what supports their preferred theories be taught and see the light of day?

Kizia, Thanks! I am fuzzy alright. I don't mind scientists. But the ones being addressed are the ones interpreting the past for us. In this case, it seems my argument is apropos.
Still when objects from the ancient world are manufactured with processes that we cannot duplicate either because we cannot manage the gigantic weight and sizes, or because the manner of manufacture, as the person on that page stated is working at 500 times what our modern tools may accomplish -- then it is time to question why such remains ignored by the professionals!
Please contact me if so desired.

I didn't follow your link but there is a lot of evidence these days that ancient civilization had knowledge and capabilities that was at least as great and perhaps exceeded ours.

If they were so technologically advanced, why did they not build any arches?
Look at the spacing of the pillars in the temples - this is all pillar-lintel construction. Stone does not act well as a beam so the pillars have to be close together.
Compare this to the work being done 1000 years ago by the European stone masons in the castles, churches and cathedrals. Arches everywhere. Why? because they let you put the supporting pillars much further apart and create much bigger spaces.
Give credit where credit is due. The guys who built these structures were as smart as we are, they were just lacking in the accumulated knowledge that we have today. But they could easily have worked out better techniques for using their level of technology than we can be bothered to do so today.
If we want to quarry rock we use explosives, pneumatic tools, diamond coated drills and saws. We do not need to work out a better way to quarry stone with stone age and bronze age tools, but in Egyptian times a lot of thought would have gone into the matter.
They may have had low tech, but they were not stupid.
To answer your question. No.

You're fuzzy all right. Must be one of those home schooled right wing fundamentalist Christians! What's the deal between you and scientists? You probably never stop to think about the things that science has given you. Scientists aren't opposed to God or religion. Who's teaching you that scientists are bad? Think for yourself, Fuzzy. God gave us our minds to use. That's what scientists do.
Science will be more and more important in solving the world's problems of global warming, fuel shortage, world hunger, disease and stupidity. More and better scientists will be needed, but there seems to be a group of people who are at odds with science--like it's a dirty word or something.
You should be learning some science if you want to contribute to the future. You just showed us some great pictures of mankind's ability to use science in building monuments, etc. Stop banging your head against a brick wall. Oh, I forgot, you're expecting the Rapture to protect you from the future. Better to have an alternate plan in case Plan A doesn't come to pass.

?? WTF? You look at a big pile of rocks, then at the Empire State Building, and conclude we could never do that again? You're putting 'scientists' in quotes when we're the ones who gave you that computer to broadcast your ignorance on?
How do you think science evolves? Changes? When it's challenged. Only those theories that improve our knowledge get past the challenge phase. And ID/creationism doesn't come close.

The aliens helped them.
We could build the same things if we had help from aliens. That is why the senate needs to grant amnesty and pass that bill. Imagine what we could do.

Slavery is illegal almost everywhere today, so you can't simply hire 30,000 people to build a pyramid when 10,000 will die in the process.
