You've already tried disaster for 3 years. Are you afraid the male friend might come to like you too much, or you like him too much? Geez, no wonder your prospects seem dim - you want everything to be perfect and safe - but they never are. Go for this deal and whatever happens, it can't be much worse than living with frustrated desires, and likely will be much better.

May sound like fun at the moment, but in the long run if you want to keep him as a friend, its a big messy recipe for disaster.

It really depends on the people involved and what their expectations are. A lot of people have trouble separating physical and emotional intimacy. You have to know yourself and be able to make that call. Also, how good of a friend is he? Do you know whether he can separate the two?

I would love to have a F buddy, there's no emotional attachment needed and it's just plain sex so you can both do it when you feel like it, I say go for it, you got nothing to lose.

It's your choice. If you feel comfortable with each other and know that it's not going to effect your friendship or any other relationships you have in a negative way then I guess it's okay.

disaster.. it's very rare that "no strings" sex can stay that way as one person always ends up developing feelings for the other. At best it will ruin your friendship...it's up to you though.

If you can honestly be prepared for him to end the association on a moment's notice, and you can honestly feel okay about it if he has sex with someone else, go ahead and do it.
