I go to bed at night and pray that I won't wake up, and then when I do I cry for a hour because I did wake up. I am so afraid of reaching out for help, that someone will lock me away somewhere. Why can't I get over this fear and reach out for help.

You wake up every day because God awakens you via an internal chemical clock called "circadian rythyms". It's true! Look it up by typing circadian rythym" into Yahoo! answers. A number of links comes up; most good summaries.

You are depressed! There is a reason for your depression and you need to find it and do something about it. It is hard to do because a depression results in negative thinking (like not wanting to live another day) and negative thinking results in deeper depression. Sometimes it is necessary to ask for help if you can't break out of this cycle or your environment is bad. Mental health professionals are available and your family doctor can reccomend one.

Therapists are those mental health professionals who make their living helping people like you find the reasons for their depression and helping them overcome it. They will not lock you away because you are their "bread and butter"; they need you as much as you need them.

If you are a child talk to a parent or someone you can trust and GET HELP. If you are an adult then the thing to do is DO SOMETHING even if it is frightening at first.

Good luck, good health, peace and love!

Your life sucks. Obviously something needs to change, and you need to change it. If your afraid to reach out for help, then don't expect any. You don't get locked away anywhere unless your unstable enough to where you would cause harm to yourself or to others. Other than that your safe and all you'll be recieving are pills and therapy most likely. Now that you know what'll happen, get some help.

Oh, I do know this feeling. I don't have it every day any more, but at one point in my life waking up was the worst. Another day to live this dreadful existence. You will have to get help, from any where. Go to a therapist, local church, police, any one, but get help. With help, it does get better. It may not go away for good, but you will learn how to cope with your very existence. I still have days when I ask God why must I live another day? Get help. Once you learn why you feel this way you will feel better about living another day. You will find in yourself why you are needed and wanted in this life.

You need to wake up and join the masses.. we all feel that way. Life is sometimes so boring and monotonaus....All we do is get up, go to work or school or both and go home, eat dinner and go to bed and relive the whole thing again. Kick it up a notch and do something you would never think of doing today.. Go on a bike ride or go to the movies or the beach and go swimming or call up someone you havenn't seen in years.. Go ahead. i dare you.

Poor Jasonray...what a horrible way to feel...there is something going on in your life, that is making you feel like this...hopeless,...sad,....nothing to get up for...facing the same sadness everyday...don't ever be afraid of reaching out for help...if you have too, go on line, and look up the things that are bothering you...for support groups...you'd be amazed at how many people might share the same things that are bothering you, and how they overcame it...and always, I always say, to say your prayers, to God, through Jesus, and thank Them everyday for GETTING UP...you won't be locked up....be strong, and have some faith...this is just something you're going through right now, and you don't HAVE to suffer like this........

Hey there, no one is putting you away against your volition -- you must be an imminent danger to yourself or others, meaning ready to hurt or kill yourself or others, to be "locked away."

It is really sad to hear; life's too short to feel bad all the time. The fact that you're talking about reaching out is a step in the right direction. You'll make it. Good luck!

Hi! Don't worry about getting put into a mental hospital, as long as you are not any danger to yourself or other that will not happen. Get help with a therapist. I see you do know how to pray but God will not grant you this prayer. He has plans for you. You have not finished what he planed for you. I wish you would change your pray and ask God to help you be brave to be happy, God will give you the strength to ask for help if you ask. God will give you what you need. Be patient and honest with God he will heal your heart and mind just ask. God Bless

Sick people don't reach out for help, kiddo, healthy ones do because they're smart enough to realize something is wrong. No one is going to lock you away; you have too much to give. Reach out for help. Life is worth living. This too shall pass. Good luck.
