In the New Testament, nine of the Ten Commandments were repeated (Mark 10:19, Luke 18:20, Rom. 13:9). The only commandment not repeated was to "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Ex. 20:8). The early Christians met on the first day of the week (Matt. 28:1, Mark 16:2,9, Luke 24:1, John 20:1, 19, Acts 20:7, I Cor. 16:2) probably because, 1) Sunday was the day of the Lord's resurrection, 2) the six post resurrection appearances were on Sunday, and 3) the Holy Spirit came on Sunday. Rev. 1:10 called Sunday the Lord's Day. And, in scripture, the number eight is always used to mean "new beginning," i.e. -- eight people on the Ark, etc.

But more than anything, it's not what day you choose to rest that concerns God, it's why you do it in the first place (I Sam. 16:7).

The Sabbath was given to Israel, not the church. The Sabbath is still Saturday, not Sunday, and has never been changed. But the Sabbath is part of the Old Testament Law, and Christians are free from the bondage of the Law (Galatians 4:1-26; Romans 6:14). Sabbath keeping is not required of the Christian—be it Saturday or Sunday. The first day of the week, Sunday, the Lord's Day (Revelation 1:10) celebrates the New Creation, with Christ as our resurrected Head. We are not obligated to follow the Mosaic Sabbath—resting, but are now free to follow the risen Christ—serving. The Apostle Paul said that each individual Christian should decide whether to observe a Sabbath rest, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind” (Romans 14:5). We are to worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday.

Every purposeful act of a Christian should be a DAILY act of worship. We should also find our rest in the Lord....DAILY.

Why in the world would you think these things should only be limited to a single day??

. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath --- Exodus 35:2. “2 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD . Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.” The passage clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

I thought Sunday was the sabbath. I don't think God cares too much about what you do on any given day as long as it's not a bad thing.

Jesus Christ is my sabbath rest.

I entered God's rest with faith. It is described in Hebrews 4
