I am 5"1, and about 117pounds. I run at least 4.5 miles every week (running lake merced in San Francisco) and do light weight training at home with 5 pound dumbells every other day or so for maybe at least 20 minutes or at least 15 or so?. Can anyone tell me how much protein would be too much for me? Thanks!

Hard to say. Everyone has a different idea on what protein requirements are. Vegans and Vegetarians will tell you that you only need 20g a day and bodybuilders will tell you 1.5g per pound of body weight.

If you're maintaining muscle and feel fine you're probably fine.

It sounds like you are just toning up (if you want to lose weight need to do more cardio) so for you enough is about 60g of protein - if you want to gain weight then more than that but dont go over your body weight in lbs number.

the good thing about protein is that once your body has enough to keep you going and repair its self and extra that you have eaten that you dont need will come out in urine
