I got a teddy bear hamster and i was wondering how long do average teddy bear hamsters live for.

If you feed him/her properly and look after him well; cleaning the cage twice a week, changing water everyday, feeding him/her good hamster food, and most important EXERCISE!!! Buy a little ball that has the top lid that come of and on. I got one for my hamster and he would run around in that ball for hours! Teddy Bear Hamsters should last 2 -3 years if properly taken care of ^

They live for 2-3 years but i know some have lived for 4!

The average life span is 3 years. If one lived to be 12 then I hope it was in the Guiness Book Of World Records.. Sorry but that is just not possible..

I think most hamsters only live for a couple of years.

mine lived 4 years but had proper vet care which most dont have so about 3 years
