What comes to mind when you hear the name Jezebel?

I get a mental picture of a Bronze-age, Middle-Eastern Queen, wearing a fancy gown makeup and lots of bling, and a cold look on her face.
She was, after all, King Ahab's wife and Queen over the northern kingdom of Isreal. Born a pagan (worshipping Baal and Astoreth), she never changed her religion, instead converting her husband away from Judaism. Her religion was known for its ritual prostitution of children, and the emasculation of young boys. She had no qualms about raising false charges against an innocent man, in order to have him killed and steal his land.
NOT one of my favorite characters. The makeup and bling were not the problem, they were just cover-ups for the rottenness inside!

It's generally meant to mean 'slut' or something, but I actually think it's kind of a cute name. "Jezzie". There was a woman in the film 'Jacob's Ladder' called Jezebel but apart from that I've never heard it used as a name in modern times.
Some other well-known Biblical names that aren't used include Judas and Goliath. They may have been bad guys according to the Bible, but I've noticed that doesn't stop people naming their kids Saul and Cain.

i think of that's amazingly unique, and you ought to not think of a definite way a pair of guy or woman earlier u surely meet them so i don't understand what i think of in regards to the guy named Jezebel. however the call is a litle obtainable till you created a lovable nickname which includes Bel, or Jeze. like Jessie.

a song by sade that i think is called jezebelif it's not called jezebell, she does say it a lot in the song. she's the lady who sang "smooth operator"
