I am freaking out, I am scared, and I am tired of this bull crap. I am tired of being a target, and I wish these people would just kill themselves and leave the rest of us alone. Why can't they all get together and just do a mass suicide instead of trying to take innocent people out? Cowardly people for such big missions, aren't they?!

I'm a PROUD AMERICAN

I think that actually, being objective, we're doing pretty well in stopping terrorism. Obviously there are constraints on what can be done such as resources available to the security forces and people's civil rights. You can create a bomb or weapon from a surprisingly large number of easily accessible items, and you can't really stop everyone from doing anything you find might be remotely suspicious all the time, unless you want to live in a police state under constant supervision. Which would also be unfeasibly expensive, and mean that we probably would have to pay excessively large amounts of tax.
I'm from England, by the way.

We will never stop terrorism. We can and I think we are dealing with the threats sort of OK. I do think we are too soft on those caught and convicted. Often they want to be martyrs so we should find a way to disgrace them in their own culture. Used to be a eye for an eye once upon a time. One culture punished offenders according to their crime. Those caught stealing had a hand cut off. I was rather too close for comfort to the mortars fired at Downing street years ago. Then later I sat in a restaurant until 0500 whilst the police dealt with a truck bomb in the street outside. Sometimes I wonder if it is possible to permanently "lose" someone who is caught in an act of terrorism so none of his/her compatriots can ever be sure what happened to them. Simple death is too good for them, why satisfy their wish to become a martyr?

Im from Oxfordshire,England and I think we should change our foreign policy to withdraw form places like Iraq and Afghanistan and not follow the American Administration into unpopular aggressive acts like this in future.

this would not be 'giving in' in my opinion, it would be righting a wrong that should never have been done in the first place and making a happier future for everyone.

Hasn't affected me personally yet, apart from everyone talking about it.I just carry on with day to day living as normal so they haven't gained much,+let the police do their job.
