no. Jesus IS God.... came to earth in the form of flesh.... to die for a world that He created.....

You're posing the idea that if the king of jerusalem had not killed all the babies, then society would have advanced much more rapidly, so that we would have had the ability long long ago to clone JC.

There's no evidence that Herod did any such thing - so yes I suppose there could have been a whole host of contenders for the title (although announcing that you were the messiah would get you killed in those days so not many would have followed it through).

There have been many cases of figures with similarities to Christ from many different cultures and mythologies...

Yahuda was a very common name in that area of the world, back during that time. Like John is nowadays, I would say it is entirely possible. For those of you that are closed minded enough to think otherwise, I would say to read your history better and sorry to say, but you are wrong.
