Romans 8:2 - "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Also vv. 9-11). There are two natures in the Christian: the flesh and the Spirit (Galatians 5:17). But while the Christian is still in the flesh, he does not live after the flesh (Romans 8:12, 13). The Holy Spirit enables the Christian to get constant and conitnual victory over sin. A sigle act of sin a Christian man commit; to live in a state of sin is impossible for him, for the Spirit which is within him gives him victory, so that sin does not reign over him. If sinless perfection is not a Scriptural doctrine, sinful imperfection is certainly less Scriptural. The eight chapter of Romans exhibits a victorious life for the Christian; a life so different from the depicted in the seventh chapter. And the difference lies in the fact that the Holy Spirit is hardly, if at all, mentioned in the seventh chapter, while in the eight He is mentioned in the seventh over twelve times. The Spirit in the heart is the secret of victory over sin.
The Holy Spirit guides us to the details of our daily life, Romans 8:14; Gal 5:16, 25 - "Walk in the Spirit." There is no detail of the Christian's life that may not under the control and direction of the Spirit. "The steps "and, as one has well said, 'the stops'] of a good man are ordered by the Lord."
The Holy Spirit guides the Christian as to the field in which he should labor. How definitely this truth is taught in the Acts 8:27-29; 16:6,7; 13:2-4.

He has both spoken to me and led me.
It is so true that He has a soft voice. When I catch what He says it is usually pretty amazing. Sometimes I know He has said something, but I miss it!! And the confirmation that it was not my own thought is that I try and try to remember what was in my head, but I cannot. Other times there is more of a magnetic pull to a certain thing that I should do, and when I have completed the task I feel a slack in the magnetization, if that makes any sense. I know I'm not alone in that, as others have confirmed feeling this way too.

It is an everday occurance. Also the anointing I have received is also my phone line to Father God & Jesus. So being led by the Holy Spirit is also being led by Fahter God & Jesus.
One example from a long time ago. I was going to take blood pressure medicine, & the spirit came over me & prevented me from taking it. Then I asked about the next pill. I had to through around 3 pills away. I did have the OK to take the next pill. But that night my heart did murmerings & wierd things & scared me. Now, I usually get the spiritual OK with any medication I may take, before I take it.

The Holy Spirit told me once after my Mom died that He, God was proud of me for honoring my parents. And sometimes God puts certain bible verses in my heart, such as if possible live with peace with everyone and be content in whatever the circumstances and not long ago the Holy Spirit told me to wait a year on a prayer that I've been asking answers to. Don't know what that answers means yet.

First the Holy Spirit drew me to the Word Of God and shone a light on my sin, and led me to ask for forgiveness and to trust in Christ for salvation.Just in the nick of time too. My life was headed down a dark occultic path that probably would have led to my destruction. Then He sat my feet on a different path and walks with me every day.If I listen He will keep my feet from stumbling. I've stumbled at times when I've wandered away from Him but He's always right there waiting to take me back. God bless!!

Dear Heir to Christ,
The Holy Spirit has spoken to me by helping me to understand the Bible, either through other Bible passages or the messages I hear at church or through various experiences.
I will give one example of an experience.
I walk in my neighborhood nearly every single day and I have been doing so for many years. I visit with my neighbors when I see them outside. Several years ago I couldn't help but see that one neighbor was putting all of his wife's medical equipment out along the road for the townwide major trash pickup.
I knew that my neighbor had taken care of his invalid wife at home for many years and had recently had to move her to a nursing home. As I walked the Holy Spirit made me aware that the neighbor was planning to divorce his wife.
The next time I saw my neighbor I asked about how he was doing and how his wife was doing and he told me that everybody he knew was telling him that he should get a divorce and that his wife would be much better off because she would become a ward of the state ....
I told him NOT to listen to everybody else. I assured him that God did not want him to get a divorce. I prayed about the couple each time I walked by the house and my neighbor listened to me and to God. That was about 10 years ago.
My neighbor now thanks me for telling him not to get a divorce. He goes to visit his wife every single day and says he would never have imagined 10 years ago that he would ever have been as happy as he is now.
But the credit belongs to the LORD, not to me.
For His glory,
JOYfilled

Led me through strength and blessed my life through holding to the commandments. Living a life as a noble, Christian man.
I tried prayer before I converted, and found strength.
No different than the Celtic warrior kings who converted, or the Scandinavian warrior kings who converted, or the Romans.. through finding not only are the old gods powerless and false.. our God is a god of superior love and has led many to him through their own way, through superiority in war, the prosperity of their nations, or peace that a Christian can come to in his heart.
While I'm a capable man in my own right, my true strength, comes from God and this is with me through trying times and good times! Through faith in God, all things are possible for me, evidenced in Jesus conquering death itself.
All gifts from God, such as faith and freedom, are things that no man can take away. While being obsessed with worldly things is a fragile and ultimately disappointing end for us all.
Jesus's love and liberation from this world, has led me to even more success in it by most standards of men.
