As you've already seen from the answers you've gotten so far......it would, at a leisurely pace take you roughly 30 minutes give or take a few.......what I just wanted to add was if you decide that you'd like to go with the option of cycling to work but feel it takes a little too long.....it won't be a week or two & you'll soon be getting much stronger & able to do it in less time.
Just something worth considering as cycling is so good for you & a great stress reliever as apposed to driving or taking the bus & being stuck in traffic jams either way.
If you live in a rural area with mostly flat ground & no hold-ups, then you'd soon be covering it in 20 minutes or less easy.
Just to add something about your tyres.......if you're using a mountain bike then by changing your mountain bike tyres to slicks will get you to your destination faster & without so much effort.

Depending on bike, fitness and terrain.
Say between 15 and 25 minutes.
Now, look at it this way: How long those it take you to drive or the bus? Consider waiting time, parking time, etc. Usually in a 4 mile trip in the city the bike will have the edge.
Plus; fitness level, the sense of achievement, of getting fresh air before /after work, burning calories, etc. etc. Give the bike a good try and a fighting chance. Like many others you might find out that you have been missing a good transportation option

Depending on the bike, the terrain, and you, it should take between 15 and 30 mins. A good average speed for riding a mountain bike on road (with decent road tyres - nothing too nobbly) would be between 10 and 13 mph. Thats without pushing yourself too hard. Which I'd imagine you don't want to do, seeing as you'd be all wet and sweaty when you arrive at work.
Generally speaking (in my experience) its quicker, or as quick) to cycle as to drive, as you don't get held up in the rush hour traffic.

four miles only? Shouldn't be more than 10 - 15 minutes.
I used to ride 17 miles to work.
EDIT:
ok...maybe 20 - 30 minutes, depending on how much you are in, or out of, shape.
Try it on a non-work day, and see how you feel.

I would say between 15 and 30 minutes depending on your bike and how fit you are. Adverse weather conditions such strong winds are likely to add extra time onto your journey. And of course if its really hot, then you will want to cycle slower.

It takes me about 15 minutes. If you do that you may need to take a shower at work so perhaps you will want to take 1/2 hour.

I probably wouldn't bother with a bike for that short a distance. Walk or run.

Not enough information. Is it hilly or flat and how fast do you ride. If you go 4 mph than it will take an hour. If you go 60mph than it will take 4 minutes. There is some critical information missing.

How many stop signs are there? I'd plan on 30 minutes the first time. Once you are more comfy with your route, you will speed up.
