See if you can find any low cost vaccination clinics at pet stores in your area. I got my puppy dewormed at one. She had to have two treatments, and it cost just under 10 bucks each time.

Roundworms usually do not take place interior the stool (or vomit) until eventually they have a rather heavy infestation. Vets tell in the adventure that your canines has rounds by finding for the eggs interior the stool. they could %. up roundworms from everywhere, fairly. in the adventure that your canines performs the place different canines poop (which will properly be everywhere, rather if there are a number of strays around) she would be ready to %. them up. regardless of in case you do not see the poop, the eggs can proceed to be interior the soil for an prolonged time. they could additionally get roundworms from their mom so if she's a domestic dog and hasn't been dewormed yet, it rather is in all probability the place she have been given them. If she has pooped the roundworm eggs out on your backyard, she would be ready to grow to be reinfected at a later date so it rather is substantial to often deworm her OR shop her on a good heartworm prevention like Heartgard of Interceptor which additionally seems after roundworms.

How do you know he has roundworms? Do you know that he may have more then one type of worm? Do you know the only way to know exactly waht type(s) of worms you are dealing with you need to have a fecal test done? Do you know that the only correct and safe treatment is one dispensed by your vet?

Did you know that in your quest to save money you in fact will be wasting money on a pretty much worthless product and in fact can cause a much higher vet bill? Did you know that oTC dewormers aren't very effective, don't help every for every type of worm and can be dangerous?

So for your dog..... take a stool sample to the vet get a fecal test done and get the correct medication...be a responsible owner.

Check the medication if it kills roundworms. Go and weigh your dog before you buy the medication.
You can also buy a pill form the vet which cost only around $20.00 and it kills all types of internal parasites and it is not that expensive as you might think. You should get your dog de-wormed twice a year. If you can't afford to get your dog de-wormed, what about getting him the appropriate shots and getting the animal fixed. What are you going to do then? I don't want to sound mean, but if you can't afford taking care of your pet, than you shouldn't have one.

Roundworms are an intestinal parasite that most puppies are born with. When passed in the stool, they look like spaghetti. Over the counter dewormers are safe--you need to use a product that contains Pyrantel Pamoate and use it at the dose recommended on the packaging. Your pup still needs a vet visit and a stool sample checked to make sure he doesn't have any other parasites, get him on heartworm prevention, and be recieve his vaccination series. There may be low cost clinics in your area that are not expensive.

Go to your local feed and supply store. There are two brands that work well. one is "neomex 2" the other is "champion"

DO NOT get anything from walmart or places like that.

Please note that those two brands are for roundworm and hookworm ONLY, your dog still need heartworm protection

So funny. I was just asking this question my self. This is what I found. A product called Safeguard for Canines.
I'll be getting it at our local feed store. It's a granular product you add to their food for 3 days. http://www.safe-guard-for-dogs.com/dewormer.html The web link will answer all your questions.

If you can't afford to take your dog to the vet you shouldn't have a dog. The best thing to do is take him in any way and maybe work out a payment plan with your vet. If left untreated your dog could get really sick.

Do you mean ring worm? Lotrimin. The stuff for jock itch, cuz it's the same fungus, works. My son had one a couple months back and it cleared it up fast.

You can also try Tea Tree Oil which is an anti-fungal as well.

Sorry, I am wrong that they are not the same thing.
