and they won races, would you be whining and crying about it then? I bet not, since there's alot of HMS fans out there you would be happy and saying how Gordon rules, or Johnson rules blah blah blah. I could just see it now.

But since Gordon and Johnson don't race in Busch Series, and Edwards, Bowyer, Burton, Hamlin and Harvick have been winning, you have to cry about it since they are Cup drivers. If I recall Stephen Liecht did win this year so therefore Busch regulars can and do win.
Also, with the COT going full time in the 2008 season, I see alot of Cup drivers won't be racing in Busch anymore or as often. It won't be the same 2 cars for Busch and Cup. The schedule is already set for 2007.. but in 2008, it'll most likely be more Busch regulars than Cup.

Well Mearn, if you feel that way, I'm sorry. Maybe you shouldn't watch Busch races or answer questions related to Busch races.

Great point Shaggy. I bet people never thought about that point. If NASCAR didn't put Cup drivers in the Busch race, then Busch tickets wouldn't sell as good. It's boils down to money.

I know davidg -
You haven't said anything about it, so I'm kool with you. It's those other fans who want to start a bunch of mess to make them feel better cuz their driver didn't win or doesn't participate in the Busch Series.

After Cup goes to the COT full time next year, there very well may be fewer Cup drivers in the Busch series. Yes, some use it for practice, but the difference in the cars will negate that.
Why continue? For the love of the sport, perhaps? Just to be doing it? More prize money?
Does it really matter? Tell me.....would you watch the Busch race if there were no Cup drivers running? A lot of fans wouldn't.

Attendance for the Busch race @ The Glen dropped off so badly that they stopped racing there for several years. Why? No Cup drivers, because they were somewhere else that weekend.
Cup drivers in Busch helps keep attendance up, however, they take wins away from the series regulars.
Double-edged sword, folks.

Yea isn't it so freaking annoying how some people put jeff gordon rules or jimmie johnson rules after or in EVERY ANSWER?! (No offense to david g, he is cool)... Funny how you don't really see it from any other drivers fans?!

As for the Busch series thing, I don't know... I certainly see your point. I do think full time cup drivers should be limited to how many Busch races they compete in... But on the other hand, how many people would actually go to the Busch race if it didn't have the cup drivers there?!

Just don't see the point of someone in the big leagues (Nextel Cup) taking a spot some newer driver could be using. I guess it does draw fans to those races though so probably why NASCAR lets it happen.

Hell I'd love to give it a shot, give me a Busch seat instead of some Nextel cup guy!! :)

you are soooo right! Its not a good race unless a HMS driver is in it, or the driver who won the race sucks unless its Jr or a HMS driver. Thats too bad because there are so many great drivers out there including the above, we as Nascar Fans should respect each others opinions and have a good time in this Forum. Instead its becoming a place to put everyone down and call them terrible names. Lets all stop acting like children and act like True Nascar Fans!

Busch or Cup they are both great Series
lets be happy for the driver who wins no matter who he is or which series he drives!

I don't watch the Busch races, used to. It's turned into a warm up for NASCAR drivers. As for Jeffy and Jimmy, never been a fan of theirs.
