Because, like most believers, you are taking a "holier than thou" position, assuming you are the be-all and end-all of defining a religious belief when you know no more about it than anyone else - which is nothing, since none of it is proven to be true.

I'd be willing to bet you have not even read the Christian texts in the original Greek, have you? If you've even read the entire NT, much less the OT. Explain why the church rejected some gospels and kept others for the KJV.

It's merely a defense mechanism. They see any sort of criticism as an attack and lash out defensively, despite their lack of knowledge on the subject.

Join the club. After the other day I am not asking anymore questions. I have had my fill of people who get up on their high horse and preach.

We shouldn't attack each other. This should be a place to learn. So, I can disagree with someone, but also respect their views, IF presented respectfully!

Because some people are just hypocrites...and they can't be happy just believing what they want to believe, they have to attack and bring down your beliefs. Pay these people no mind :)

Quarreling or division is the work of the devil trying to destroy everything that is to God but Jesus came that we may have life. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Paul urges Christian to have one though: "I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1 Cor 1:10)
