It's NOTHING to do with Pagan religions (or Satanism as far as I know) it's a lodge ritual.

First of all, Paganism and Satanism are 2 totally differant religions. Paganism is a religion that is earth centered and based also upon pre christian traditions and beliefs, a renewal of the Old Ways. Also, paganism has many definitions, the original was the latin one, Pagani, meaning countryfolk or country dweller. Satanism however is a religion from the middle ages based upon the idea that satan is the true ruler of the universe and is part of christianity, except the positions are reversed. The Bohemian Grove footage mentioned the Masons, Illumanati, Skull and Cross bones, and other groups. These groups are not pagan or satanic, the masons are a group of people who practice ceremonial magic and rituals based off of Hiram Abif, the architect of the Temple of the Jews, the first one under soloman. The Illumanati are a group of wannabe like masons that formed from a mixing of masonic, christian and scholastic thinking. The Skull and Bones are a group that is like masonry but not by much, it's based off of a group of people at Yale and used to be a fraternity, but many prominent people are S&B members, such as the Bush Family. But just because a number of people associated with another group attend a place does not make the place designated to that one group. The Ritual from the Grove is not a pagan ritual, and i am unsure if it is one of satanism, but i do know pagans are not the ones who came up with the ritual you see at the grove. Based on the videos seen, i would conclude that the ritual is one that is designed to symbolize the release of a soul into the afterlife and the release of peoples attachments to what is outside of the Grove, and based on the name, the ritual would seem to be one of the burning away of the cares of the outside world, in other words a release of your cares for the places outside the Grove, and an attempt to make people feel they can confide in one another and know that the Grove is a place of security and peace. The Bush family may be involved and may not be, but what they do in the Grove or any other place that is meant to feel secluded and safe, is really none of our business because if we invade their privacy then they have just as much reason to invade ours.

It's a Bohemian Grove ritual. The Bohemian Grove figures in a lot of conspiracy theories, and is considered something of a "summer camp" for the extremely wealthy and politically connected. The Cremation of Care ritual involves the symbolic burning of an effigy. It's not necessarily Pagan or Satanic, as some right-wing theorists (such as Alex Jones) claim.

Bohemian Grove is an 2700-acrecampground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California belonging to a private San Francisco-based men's art club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a two-week encampment of some of the most powerful men in the world.
This has NOTHING to do with paganism or satanism.. get your facts straight and stop trying to demonize other beliefs.

Sigh...typical. People dismiss any ceremony they're not familiar with as "pagan/satanic". (Never mind the assumption that these two words are synonyms.)
It's a LODGE ceremony, no more "Satanic" than an Elks Club initiation, an Eagle Scout's court of honor, or a Shriners' bake sale.
