The best diet to lose weight is to simply burn more calories than you consume. I know that it sounds sarcastic but it is the truth. Yes the medical field is a business of sickness not health. One thing to keep in mind is to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water each day. If you weigh 200lbs. then drink 100 ounces of water. Our bodies are about 89% water and the rest is mostly protien. Also as your bodies cells are constantly regenerating you need the water to flush out the dead cells. Then you can also eat lots of fruit (no sugar added) for calories and as your body breaks down food for fuel there are occuring free radicals produced. Cells with missing components bouncing around trying to steel what it needs from healthy cells. Fruit is a natural anti-oxident to help rid your body of the free radicals. For more energy find a good sublingual B-Complex.( I take Source Naturals- Coenzymate B Complex) The sublingual is melted under your tounge so that it goes straight into your blood stream and does not tax your liver. Eat whole and natural foods. Nothing processed and most definately NO fast foods. No bleeched flour such as white bread or white rice. These coat your intestines and prevent the absorbtion of nutrients. To help with sleep avoid caffiene after 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Some foods that help are protiens that help produce the peptide dopamines and saritonine like turkey, oat-meal, warm milk, honey, almonds, and hard boiled eggs. You might also try camamile teas like sleepy time. If this does not help you might try AminoSculpt by Health Direct take as directed. With a healthy diet your stomach and digestive system has as many nerve endings as your brain does. So treat it well and it will do the same to you. Remember that a diet is a life style and not a quick fix. Good luck and GOD Bless.

Takes more than diet to convert the tubbyness into rippling muscle. You need to go to a Gym, most YMCA places have quality Gyms and trained instructors who can give you a personal fitness plan to help you and also diet advice on how to eat during training.

the only way to lose weight is by understanding that you have to make permanent changes in your lifestyle (diet and exercise) to get permanent results.
to have energy - take multivitamin with your breakfast and also B-complex vitamin and eating freaquent small meals will help stabilize your blood sugar.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise (jogging, running, swimming, elliptical, cycling, hiking, rope jumping etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.

Go back to the doc and ask him to send you to a dietitian. You have got over the first obstacle by actually wanting to lose weight and admitting you have a weight problem - a professional can help in all sorts of ways.
