Not if made in accordance with the German purity law of 1516. Only water, malt, hops and yeast. Salt has been added to beer to actually get people to drink more by actually making them thirsty. Also bartenders have been known to sprinkle a Littlee sat in the glass to make a thicker head, especially if the beer was going a littl;e flat.

No. Something to do with the fermentation process. The liquid won't become beer if salt is added.
