Would it be the day it left the assembly line?
The day it arrived at the dealership?
Or is it the day I bought it and rode it home?

Picky semantics, nobody gave birth but it breathes, drinks and farts.

While the day it came off the line makes sense, the delivery day is more emotional. I didn't name my kids when they came home, but I did on their delivery day. So, thanks to all for putting up with my lighthearted crap. It looks like we'll go with July 1st. Time to make some brownies. (More substance than cake.)

Well , I'd say it was when it was first started, pumps a pump'n juices flowing ,fire in the cylinders, etc ( IMO that is life for a bike).
I guess it's probably hard to pin down at what point H.D. starts a bike. Is it on the assembly line? or later ?
Seeing as you are really an adoptive parent ,could you not choose an appropriate , ceremonial birth date ?

I use my date of purchase. It didn't live and breathe for you until then. Or would that be the wedding day?

Nobody gave BIRTH to your motorcycle. The milestones you referenced would be observed as anniversaries.
