The acute onset of vertigo (imbalance, dizziness, nausea) is usually caused by an ear infection.
A Dramamine or Meclizine tablet will ease the symptoms for now, but see a doctor soon, since it can also be caused by other bad stuff.

Get her a product called Bonine or Meclizine, whichever your local pharmacy has. They're really both the same thing, just different names and will help with your mom's vertigo. It's not expensive either.

You know those things that people put on their wrists before they go on roller coasters if you get motion sickness? Those help SO MUCH when concerning Vertigo. I think they're called SeaBands. They help SO SO much.

Take her to an ear doctor. This is usually caused by tiny particles of the inner ear that have become dislodged and are free floating. There are a number of painless remedies he can do to try and get the particles to settle within the ear. Valium is usually prescribed and provides great relief of symptoms. Good luck

You can try Dramamine, it is the same as the drug Antivert. But, she should see a doctor. She may have otitis media or labyrinthitis.

One reason for this may be anxiety/panic attacks. Your mom ought to get a good checkup. She is very blessed to have you there........and your presence will be a comfort to her.

Ply her with booze...if she already has the room spins, she might as well enjoy the buzz also!
