Why is Indian media blacking out Sikkim agitation?

The lepcha community leaders are on the eleventh day of fasting in protest against a mega hydel project that will submerge ancient Lepcha villages, virgin Himalayan Alpine forests, rare flora, butterflies and other fauna.
After India annexed Sikkim in 1975, this is the biggest threat.
Have you heard about this? if not , why?

Media is controlled by the government. Thus, the Sikkim agitation is not being exposed. The United Nations must enter this scenario because it is an environmental and human rights issue.
