My son will be traveling to Italy in the fall for a semester there at the Univeristy of Rome, has anyone been there and if so, can you give me a little insight on what he can expect once he's there?

He's excited......I'm not *smiles* Although I am proud of him.
I've read there's plenty to do and see.......if anybody out there has been, please let me know. Thanks

Rome is beautiful and full of day and night life.
It's not a dangerous city...don't worry!
why don't you come with him for a week so you can see it by yourself!?
It's wonderful...you must be proud of your son!

Rome is a great city. It's very busy...i've heard others compare it to New York City. I haven't been to NYC, but to Rome, yes. You don't have to be worried about your son. The citizens are friendly enough, the fast paced life is thrilling, and one can fall into the culture quite easily.

He'll have the time of his life. :)
