(single cab long bed) My income is average, so don't suggest something outgragious. it's a v6. everything is stock, exept for tune ups (new batt, tires, ofcorse). What do you need for a supercharger? better transmisstion if it's stock? i have been warned not to burn out, might drop the trany, figureativly. Is glass pack too loud? i just want to be able to hear it, can't with a v6 and stock mufflers. idk where to start?

V6 in a 93 F150? I think you better open the hood and try again, the only engines available in the truck was an in-line 4.9 6 cylinder , a 5.0 V8 and a 5.7 V8. If you have one of the V8s you can get a load of aftermarket parts for it, I would recommend a CAT back exhaust, air intake system and a power chip of some sort such as a JET chip. If you have the in-line six cylinder your options will be really limited, this engine is a work engine, lot of torque, not great with the RPMs. It would be easier to find a truck with a V8.

As stated there were no V6's in these trucks. There arent many options when it comes to the Inline 6. A free flowing exhaust, headers, free flowing intake is about all you will be able to do. Either look for a truck with a V8 or think about an engine swap.

Also there is no 5.7 ford engine for 1993, the 351 is actually a 5.8

1993 F-Series engine options
4.9 I-6 300 -- 150 hp
5.0 V-8 302 -- 185 hp
5.8 V-8 351 -- 210 hp
7.5 V-8 460 -- 240 hp

7.3 V-8 Diesel -- 210 hp

A set of Flowmasters will give you a little more power and sound good. then it is on to the other end. Get a cold air intake system to free up the intake. That should be a good start. Try ford Racing Parts if you wnat to go further and invest some more money.

I have to agree with chris 2. My 93 f-150 5.0 V8 picked up 20 HP w/plain cat back duel's. $450.00 for a magnaflow got me another 15HP. K&N filter, 6HP. I think ford still has SVO if not, try Roush Racing. I had trouble with the valves floating at 105MPH. The duel Exaust will cost a lot more now.

No flowmasters if you want it to sound good. Just listen to Mustangs.
