Hi, Obviously right now is a bad time to say Spay your dog.. The thing is though, you should have done research on how to care for puppies and the mother after the puppies.. This is actually unfair to your dog and puppies.. But since they are here, I can offer some help.. Others I am sure can to..
First off, if she hasn't eaten the puppies in 24 hrs, most likely she won't second, You should start touching your mother dog and her puppies.. it helps get your scent on them.. BUT NOT EVERYONE AT ONCE.. And no one should handle your puppies that the mother doesn't know. Should be you and your family for the time being.. You should have them vet checked within 48hrs of them coming into this world.
your mother dog should be on puppy food.. (while she was pregnant and now) If she hasn't been Purina puppy chow is good (mix in slow with her food so that she doesn't get the runs)
Good luck.. As far as the father seeing them.. At first for the first couple weeks I don't think it is a great idea.. Some may have other oppinions..

We also have 4 new terrier puppies. So far the momma is very caring with her pups. I make sure that the momma is always full and water is always available. I did not caged the mother with the pups. I paced the small cage where the pups sleep on a wooden bed and left the door open. For some reasons, the momma just enters the cage when it is time to feed and clean up its pups. I dont mess up with the momma either. I make sure she is in a playinng mood whenever I try to touch the pups. This is my second liter of pups.

She and the puppies need to go to the vet to be checked out to make sure all is well! The reason the mom may kill or eat her pups is if she thinks she or they are in danger, for this reason you keep the dad away. The vet will explain all on your visit. Congrats on the pups to you and the new parents! All the best;^)

she should be fine I would take them to the vets ( the vet will dock their tails and should remove the dewclaws within 3 days of being born. Also have mom checked to make sure she has passed everything. There is no reason for dad to see the babes.
mom should feed them but at 4 weeks you need to start t wean them. They should stay with mom until they are 8 weeks old.
If she will let you handle them then you should start as soon as possible.
Good luck and if you have anymore questions let me know or ask your vet kathy_decaprio@yahoo.com

yea u should watch ur dog and the puppies but she is not going to eat them!! and u should call ur vet to ask him any questions u have and to make an thing so the PUPPIES CAN HAVE THIER FIRST SHOTS AND EVERYTHING. i would say in about 2 days about the father can see the puppies. also open the door to the cage so the mother can eat so she can provide food for her puppies

If she hasn't eaten the puppies yet, and she is taking care of them NOW, NO ONE will eat the puppies...you also shouldn't be worried about the Dad either, because the mother will kick his butt if he tries anything.

personally i would try taking them to the vet just to get checked out and make sure they are ok..plus a vet can tell you everything to do to keep an eye on them and then when to introduce the dad to them.
