There is this guy Ive known for a while, weve been "friends" but ive always liked him and recently it was obvious he liked me too. I called him and asked him to go to the cinema on Monday, and he said yes. Now I feel wierd though. Do guys think badly of or treat girls worse when they make the first move? Evereyone says the woman should wait and so be the one in control but hes really shy and i dont think hed ever ask me.

you did the right thing someone needs to make the first move! & you probably went by your instinks as you felt you both liked each other!. It would have been worse if you didn't do anything & you missed your chance, sometimes you have to take risks in life.As you also said he's shy & he could have taken ages to make the first move, hope your date goes well.

I don't think it's wrong, and some guys are so afraid of rejection, hurting that male ego that they won't ask. You just helped show that there is a mutual feeling, kind of broke the ice. Go out have a great time, and let him now take the lead.

No, those are just old fashioned mindsets. Lots of guys will appreciate that you asked them first, cause they're too shy to do it. I mean, my boyfriend and I emailed all last summer after I told him that I liked him, and it took him two months after school started for him to ask me. I think it's great that you asked him out first!

Nah.. just follow your instinct. You gotta do what you gotta do or else you'll regret it that you didn't do the first move - when you look back later on. You're fine! : )
