why do so many xbox360 breakdown?

the problem with the X-box 360 was that the fan didn't pull air out of the machine fast enough so the circuit board overheated. For a while Microsoft was offering a free repair. I don't know if their still doing the repairs but you always can ask.

because microsoft tried to intregrate pc technology into the computer games genre-i am afraid it simply does not work that way-the ps3 is a games console based on years of dedicated games systems before it-not so with the 360. the history of microsoft is purely pc based this is why they are having problems with the 360. they should have known that games consoles need effective extractor fans to keep cool-not the same as some pc's which use other means to keep cool. in short a pc is a pc and a games console is a games console.

From a lot of what Ive seen there is a lot of them overheating due to people not putting them in ventilated area's, Ive had no problems with mine whatsoever !.
