Love me Oh my ocean of Love

2007-07-01 19:38:01 · answer #1 · answered by Shripathi Krishna Acharya 5 · 3 0

A prayer of thanks, seeking his love, forgiveness for our wrongs, and seeking wisdom to know the right path, and strength to follow it despite obstacles from fellow human beings and quirks of fate and circumstances. Any prayer which includes all these points is best. Let the language be your own tonue. Let the words be your own words. Just feel strongly that He is before you and is listening intently to what you have to say. He is not concerned with language but your sincerety of feelings. Let your words spring from the depths of your heart. And see the magic. In one of the books written by my master there is a very interesting anecdote. Once Musa, the Muslim religious leader was travelling through a forest. He saw a shepherd sitting below a tree, with eyes closed and lips moving. It appeared that he was speaking to some one. Musa went very close and heard that the illiterate and poor shepherd was saying O lord, whatever you need please do tell me. If you are feeling hungry I will feed you with my sheep's milk. If you are feeling tired I will do massage of your legs and body. If you are feeling cold I will give you my blanket. Musa the great warrior, whose name struck terror in the hearts of rulers and kings, was a religious leader as well and had pride in the belief that he was the true son of Allah, shouted at the shepherd.Abusing him he said oh fool what nonsense are you uttering. Allah, is the giver of all. How cah he be hungry, tired or feel cold. Why would he need such mundane and humble things which you are offering. If ever I spot you saying all this non-sense i will kill you. The poor shepherd ran aaway. That day during his afternoon prayer Musa heard Allah say 'Musa you are ignorant. That is why you spoke like that to my dear son the Shepherd. I was so pleased with his words and was engrossed in his love. You separated me ahd him -- i.e. two lovers the son and the father. Since it is your first mistake I forgive you but do not repeat it

"Asatoma Sadgamaya
Thamaso Maa Jyothir Gamaya
Mrithyor Maa Amrutham Gamaya
Aum Shanti Shanti Shantihi"

Om, lead us from untruth to truth, from darkness to light, from death to immortality. Om peace, peace, peace.

My favorite prayer is:

Aum Poornamadah Poornamidam
Poornaath Poornam Udachyathe
Poornasya Poornamaadaaya
Poornameva Vasishyathe.
Om shanti, shanti, shanti.

That is the whole, this is the whole,
from the whole, the whole becomes manifest;
taking away from the whole from the whole, the whole remains.
Om peace, peace, peace.

It means that all of the parts within this universe still contains the whole which is God. All of God exists every little part, not matter how much be dissect it.
Om peace, peace, peace

It depends upon genuine urge and highly intensified emotional attachment towards the diety one devote. It is purely mental, physical, intellectual and vocal passion. Speak of diety, take decision as the diety (conscience) states, work (serve) for diety, think of diety. Everything while performing regular and obligatory responsibilities taking it devotional dury. There are no shortcuts in devotion. Can we call diety as Draupadi summoned? Can we leave everything like Pralhada? So be steady but with determined will! Let it take years together or as many birth cycles as required, one will sure reach Him. No haste and hence no shortcuts. Whoever tells, he may be Supreme Businessman only.

You can either say "Nama Shivaya" (I bow down before thee

Namah Shivaya is called Panchakshari (5 syllable mantra) while Aum Namah Shivaya is called Sadakshari (6 syllabled mantra). Namah Shivaya is recommended to be chanted by householders, whereas the prefix "Aum" is added to the mantra by those who have renounced the world. However, according to Sivananda, Aum Namah Shivaya is also alright for practise by worldly people, as gradual repetition makes the mind proceed from the gross to the subtle.

Alláh-u-Abhá - what does it mean?

"Alláh-u-Abhá" is an Arabic phrase meaning "God the All-Glorious". It is a form of the Greatest Name of God. In Islám there is a tradition that among the many names of God, one was the greatest; however, the identity of this Greatest Name was hidden. Bahá'u'lláh has confirmed that the Greatest Name is "Bahá".

The various derivatives of the word "Bahá" are also regarded as the Greatest Name. Shoghi Effendi's secretary writing on his behalf explains that:

The Greatest Name is the Name of Bahá'u'lláh. "Yá Bahá'u'l-Abhá" is an invocation meaning: "O Thou Glory of Glories!". "Alláh-u-Abhá" is a greeting which means: "God the All-Glorious". Both refer to Bahá'u'lláh. By Greatest Name is meant that Bahá'u'lláh has appeared in God's Greatest Name, in other words, that He is the supreme Manifestation of God.

The greeting "Alláh-u-Abhá" was adopted during the period of Bahá'u'lláh's exile in Adrianople. The repetition of "Alláh-u-Abhá" ninety-five times is to be preceded by the performance of ablutions.

Buddham Saranam Gachami,
Dharmam Saranam Gachami
Sangam Saranam Gachami.

Buddha’s mother Maya Devi passed away on the seventh day after his birth. Suddhodhana’s second wife Gautami, brought up the child. Because he was brought up by Gautami, he was named Gautama. At the age of 28, he gave up everything and turned a renunciant. What is the significance of this step? Buddha declared: "Sangham Saranam Gachchaami". "Hands in society, head in the forest". He renounced everything to think about promoting the welfare of society. He declared: "Dharmam Saranam Gachchaami". What is Dharma? "Ahimsa Paramodharmaha". Dharma means causing no harm to anyone.

Allah'u'Akhbar(Muslims say it to say "God is Great")

Let there be unity and peace.
