Your question took me back 40 years .........................................
I wrote an essay saying this over 40 years ago in the first year of secondary school
I got expelled
No I am not kidding - I really wrote this essay and I got expelled for 3 weeks for it.
I wrote it as it seemed a good possibility to me as I do not come from a religious family - I was the only person in my school not christened into the christian religion - and the story of Jesus was new to me and so I saw it with fresh eyes and the title of the essay was 'Who is Jesus, why did he come to earth..'
So it seemed logical to me that he came to earth either as a time traveller or an alien in a spacecraft - this was the early 60s so I read lots so science fiction.
but I got expelled for suggesting this .
I am in my 50s so should have a more balanced view - but now you ask - and no one will expel me from YA for saying so
I think you are quite right- Jesus either was a time traveller or an alien in a flying saucer
I do mean this as it was then the only explanation that made sense to me then of the 'Jesus ' story and it still is
I totally agree
This is possible and a logical explanation for the story of Jesus

It has always seemed likely to me that at some time in the distant past earth was visited by people from outer space and some were accidentally or deliberately left behind and are our ancestors. Thus would explain why we could not survive without tools and clothing, whereas other animals can.
Rather than being time travellers I think we are aliens who have adapted as best we can to conditions on earth

I think I remember a movie like that. What was it called? It was about a guy that was traveling back in time to 1980ish to save his brother that was stuck somewhere in the past, problem could only make 1 trip and arrived 1980 year to late to save his brother. Both brothers had a magical healing power.

No.
Was Thor? Zeus? Any other legendary creature?
In asking the question you presume that there is some merit in the bible stories. They are just stories. Not based upon reality, just morality tales.
There is no need to find a possible alternative explanation to the supernatural. It was not real.

you know . . . it is possible . . . but that would make him a liar or a lunatic or both.
hmmmmm . . . . and how would he have pulled off the miracles? . . . and then at one point, he gave the twelve the power to do miracles . . . (Peter prayed, and the girl raised from the dead . . . Paul did something similar . . . ) on second thought . . .
. . . no way!

Time travel into the past would violate the Uncertainty Principle, which as far as anyone knows, is inviolable.

No; I'd like to think that in the future everybody knows slavery is wrong.
Also: He'd have some scientific knowledge from the future.

Read Michael Moorcock's "Behold The Man." Great story on that theme.
