The Immaculate Conception is the conception of Mary through sexual intercorse between her parents and not the virginal Conception of Jesu by Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. A friend of mine in high school, fearing that she was pregnant, stayed up all night to pray.."Dear God, please let me not be pregnant".
She found out a day or so later that she wasn't - we've called her an example of the immaculate contraception!

Any activity which does not put sperm anywhere near vagina will work. Abstinence is only the extreme form.
