how do you pack necklaces so that they dont tangle up horribly when in a suitcase???>

Get the smallest ziplock bags you can find. Really, you are supposed to use tiny tiny bags, but you can't really buy those anywhere. Latch the necklace closed, put 90% of it in the bag, and let the other 10% hang out the top, and then close the bag. You might then want to put all the bags into 1 larger bag.

Oh, and on a separate note... DO NOT put your jewelry in your checked baggage. I have had my luggage lost several times, and as a matter of fact, American Airlines just recovered my lost bag today. Don't be sorry.... those items will not be covered or insured by the carrier if they are lost!

Use a Paper Towel Roll! Just trim it to the proper length. It works like a charm!

Roll up a sock, wrap the necklace around, and put another sock over it.
