The Book of Mormon has been proven to be a total fraud time and time again. Ask any non LDS Meso-American Historian or Archaeologist if any proof has ever been found to support the BoM and they unanimously say NO! Even LDS Historians and Archaeologists have been ex-communicated for telling the truth that the BoM is a fairytale. Why do you think nobody ever heard of Nephites, Lamanites, Jeredites, Cureloms, ect. ect. ect.
The Church cant even come up with a map to put in the back of the BoM so the faithful can follow along with the stories. Any Bible has detailed maps telling all about the places and events that happened in Biblical times yet the Bom cant even find any of the big places like the City of Nephi or Land of Zarehimla or anything else.
Thats because Joseph Smith made the whole thing up . The Bom is the laughingstock of the Meso American scientific community because they know it is a total hoax

Religion is bunk. All of it.
There *may* be some form of supreme Being - but if there is, it sure as hell isn't interested in us being daft little sods, grovelling every five minutes and thinking we can go to paradise if we kill enough infidels.
HOWEVER, the "head honchos" of pretty much ALL religions are extremely wealthy men - gobsmackingly so.
People and "businesses" with THAT much money - and influence - do not really like the idea of giving it up. So science is discouraged - as are the finding thereof.
When you get to the "God is above the laws of physics and does what he wants" - thee is NOTHING you can really say or do to explain anything to anyone.
You cannot teach, help or guide someone who refuses to listen to fact - but treats as verbatim a book of fiction written thousands of years ago by mortals with personal agendas.
Mormons - sure their religion is based on sillyness - but then at least they have not been involved in the wholsale destruction of people like the Catholics a few centuries ago - or the Muslim faith now.
Religion is the direct and indirect cause of almost all terrorism and war atrocities. It really is a pretty grim fictional creation - which destroys lives.
I see the Catholic church are still telling third world countries with massive opverpopulation, famine and HIV - and the huge resulting death rate - that condoms are evil.
Great, God must be so proud.

I'm glad you recognize that many of us have strong faith. Some of our beliefs do look strange when misrepresented by those who seek to discredit. So do some other Christian beliefs if misrepresented in a distorted manner. You'll understand the beliefs of a group if you get some views of their beliefs from the groups themselves.

No one has ever proven to me that my beliefs are wrong. When it is PROVEN beyond a reasonable doubt, I will change. But seeing as how the Holy Spirit has testified to me personally of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it will NEVER happen.

Oscar Wilde is credited with saying "You can't reason a man out of something he didn't reason himself into."
Science changes and corrects itself frequently, but it is the nature of science to aggressively question and correct itself and it is the nature of science to avoid certainty.
Religion embraces certainty, particularly on issues where rational clarity is unlikely, and it not only discourages aggressive questioning, but it often marginalizes and even punishes those who do question.
No morgbot will change his belief until the profit tells him to do so. The leaders of the church remain clueless idiots and demand their minions to be so also.

Mormons don't believe all american indians, eskimoes, or pacific islanders are related to a group that came to the americas in 600 b.c. Sure we call them lamanites who are the last noted people living in the book or Mormon around 400 a.d., but we don't know who are the direct descendants of them. The book of Mormon is a faith book. If you don't want to believe in it, fine.

They don't believe that Native Americans are Isrealites. They believe Christ appeared to the Native Americans. They base it on the verse in the Bible that says Christ told his disciples he was going to tend his other sheep.

You haven't disproven anything. At least, not to us. Only to yourself, but then, you don't want to believe, do you?
As far as DNA proof that Native Americans do or do not have the DNA of ancient Hebrews, well, you would first ahve to have the DNA of some ancient Hebrews, wouldn't you? To say tat they are or aren't descended from the Lamanites, you would have to have DNA from some of those ancient Lamanites.
But then, what do I know?

Do Christians think their beliefs are any less ludicrous? Noah brought every species on earth through a flood on an ark? Jonah survived 3 days in the belly of a whale? Jesus rose from the dead? Huh, with no documented proof for any of it. What are the odds?
