I have had cravings for candy like sour patch kids or something and I want it but when i have it I feel guilty about it. I need to do the colon cleansing for kids again because I never ate candy. But it is so expensive. how can I not give into my cravings and still not crave something?

well. whenever i need to eat something sweet and FRIED lol i just grab a handful of nuts (almonds and pine nuts work really well!!) bc when u crave sugar, it's really protein you need. so just grab something really healthy w/ lots of protein and wait 10 minutes. cravings go away in 7-14 minutes. and just rememeber, the aftermath is NOT worth it!! i hope i helped!!

and just remember, i'm right there with you. i learned to have some willpower after 2 years of suffering..:] never too late.

increase the number of meals you have throughout the day to keep you from getting hungry and having the cravings. Try very hard to stay aways from candy or anything with a lot of sugar, focus on healthy fruits, vegetables, and meats so your body is well-nourished. And drink lots of water. I believe cravings how our bodies tell us we are not getting enough vitamins and minerals, so they make us hungry to make us eat more.

If you normally have 3 meals a day, eat less of each meal and divide it into 6 -7 meals a day. Eat until you are not hungry anymore, never eat until you are full because that will be too much. For me, typically I'll eat 1 apple in the morning, then a couple of hours later I'll have a light lunch, like a sandwich. Two to three hours later I might have a bowl of rice with some meat. Then later, I'll have a salad, etc. By the way, eating less food at each meal and having more meals throughout the day helps to increase your metabolism, helping your body to better process the food, and therefore help to reduce your weight. This may take a few weeks for you to get use to, but try it out, pretty soon it will become natural and you won't even have to think about it.

My advice? Indulge! People with a sweet tooth can still lose weight, they just need do have their sweets in a controlled way and make the rest of their diet as healthy as possible. Dieting isn't about perfection! So you just need a plan. Find mini packs of your favorite sweets and incorporate them into your diet (maybe one little packet a day at the time you crave sweets the most). Just keep in mind the calories and maybe cut back just a little on your sugar intake at other meals. This way you wont obsess about it. Everyone on this planet has foods they crave, and ignoring cravings can often backfire.

Another tip: never let yourself get too famished. Being really really hungry is often what leads to overindulgences. Make sure you're meals fill you up and that you are getting enough calories!

forget the colon cleansing, it's not healthy to do very often (if at all). if you want candy, eat one or two and then stop. eat slowly. eat more fiber and protein. you don't have to deprive yourself totally, just don't overdo.
