I eat about 1,200 calories a day and exercise when I have time? How is it that I am losing this much weight so fast? It takes 3,500 calories to lost a pound or gain a pound.

3500 calories burned loses a pound. If you only take in 1200 a day, but you burn, say, 1500 just by walking around the office, then you're gonna lose weight.

1,200 calories is pretty low. If you cut back any more you would be on a 'starvation diet.' (1000 or less calories) If you're not overweight then I'd suggest not losing weight so fast-it's not healthy.

it could be water weight or maybe you are eating a lot less than you used to eat. more weight is lost in the beginning of a diet than later on.
