Why isn't sunscreen a must have?

All the talk of Global Warming and the O-zone layer have got me thinking, why isn't sunscreen a must have for the people of the world? The number in skin cancer has shot up and people still don't protect themselves from it. I just think it should be a must for all people of the world. Please, who agrees or disagrees with me on this one?

The people who don't wear sunscreen are idiots. If you don't have protection against the sun, you have a greater risk of skin cancer. You can die from skin cancer. How can people be so dumb? I have been very religious abput putting sunscreen on. I think everyone else should be, as well.

Humans are stupid. I don't know WHY we haven't stocked up on sunscreen as well!
I've read articles over years about how we should wear sun screen year round. We'll be safe from the sun, or at least have a less chance of getting skin cancer.

People don't quit smoking either, which causes more death and disease than skin cancer.
Judges don't enforce the penalty for all drunk drivers, which I think should include a MINIMUM of loss of license, jail time, and fine.
People don't use condoms either, when they are the second [ abstinence is first ] best preventative of STDs and third [ after hormones or abstinence] best preventative of pregnancy.
Shall I go on.....
PARENTS and FUTURE PARENTS:
Teach your children about all risks, and all methods.of prevention, for all of above.
Even if you don't wan't them to have sex, they will be informed of risks, and be able to pass info on to others [ I know my kids correct friends all the time " my mom's a nurse and she KNOWS "!
P.S. Dark skinned people get skin cancer too, si they do need sunscreen!

Depends on the colour of your skin. Dark skinned people don't need sun screen. But if you are pink, must have would apply.

it is for me. spf 50 every day, reapply in the afternoon. I do it for looks though to prevent aging
