Is there something you do regularly as part of your beliefs and traditions that just rocks your world?

Mine's a small one, really . . . Texas heathens in particular, perhaps because we have such a strong sense of place and geographic identity, tend to honor, gift, and acknowledge the "hearthwights" or "hausvaettir" (like elves or perhaps gnomes . . . small animate/discrete spirits of place connected to one's house and hearth). I make small daily offerings of honeyed coffee, and a weekly offering of nuts, grains, and butter inscribed with the "rune for the week."

It just really makes me feel all heathen and connected to my world! :-)

Whatta ya got? Do tell!

Great answers so far! :-)

randomgypsyfaerie27, if you leave a bowl of "sparklies" (coins, beads, crystals or such) out, they'll leave your other stuff alone. True fact!

On the medieval events, (I'm a part of a medieval reenactment fighter group, we perform a lot on medieval fairs and similar) when we're all dressed up in tunics and armour and weapons, and when we're sitting around at the end of the day, sometimes the three of us who are heathens sneak away with our drinking horns and do a little mini-sumbel on our own, maybe next to a camp fire, in the middle of the night, on some medieval castle... I love that because I think it's about the closest we can get nowadays to the "real" feeling how it must have been in those days, when a bunch of warriors was somewhere out on the road...

Yeah, yeah, I'll quit daydreaming about now :)

I meditate and pray daily and that makes me feel good.I also talk to animals and plants and the sun and moon etc.

I do make offerings at a special place near my home-kind of my own outdoor shrine I guess-but not daily-usually once or twice a week.

I have little chants I do daily, to refocus my thoughts of what have you. I greet the moon in all of her splendor, and the starry skies in the name of my patroness Arianrhod. Each time I light a candle of incense I have a chant I say that basically is dedicating it to the Lord and Lady.

Good Questions!

I talk to my kitten, who I'm sure "delivers" my messages to the Lord and Lady, and I talk to the faeries.

Usually, I have to 'scold' the wee ones because they've run off with something or another [usually my fae statues or my dragon pictures] but it usually comes back within a week.

I meditate every night, then look to the moon, talk to it, and thank the Goddess for all that I have. Occasionally, I'll cast a spell or two for those who need it most.

I greet the sun in the morning and I speak to the moon at night.

I pray - it feels good to stay in touch. When I express gratitude for the things in my life that I love it puts everything into prospective.
