Yesterday, we went fishing and we fed some of the scraps to the cats. One of my 2-month kittens is now just lying around this morning. He doesn't appear to ill, but just seems to have a stomach ache or something. Besides just lying around, he seems to be pretty normal, (trying to play, but just not feeling like it). I was wondering if there was something simple I could feed him to help him feel better. Or is it something I should be concerned about?

The best option is to let the kitten "fast" today. Get a jar of baby food meat - chicken or turkey. Absolutely must NOT have ANY onion or garlic in it so read the labels carefully.

The poultry meat is easily digestible. If you want you can get some slippery elm capsules from the health food store. SE is a nutritive herb that soothes the digestive tract. Half a capsule mixed with a little water when you give him his baby food meat. Get those things today and give it to him in the morning.

Of course if vomiting, diarrhea,, etc develop the kitten must see a vet right away.

Fish is fine for cats Animals have a different digestive track that's designed to handle bacteria humans would fall over dead from. So unless it had a pollutant in it (which YOU'D be sick from) it's not that. Milk is bad for them, because cats can't handle lactose. Lactaid is an acceptable treat.
If he has the runs or is throwing up, you can give him 1/8 cc in a medication syringe of pepto bismol (tiny amount) to help. I've done this many a time, it helps.
But it's probably she's just being a lazy kitty after a long, exciting day out!

Good lord, why do people have pets when they know nothing about them? NEVER give your cat anything but cat food. Fish can have all sorts of bacteria and diseases. Call your vet and ask their advice. Make sure kitty didnt get any small bones as those can puncture the insides.

Cats also cannot have milk products. They are lactose intolerant.

Watch him closely. If it doesn't pass by tomorrow, take him to the vet.

Generally, I'd resist feeding table scraps to a cat. They are better off with food specifically formulated for cats. There are raw food diets that are good for them, but the owner needs to know exactly how to put those together to meet the cat's nutritional needs.

cats should never have fish (or milk) sadly most pet owners dont know this...

he probably has tummy ache from eating different food than he is used to but if you think he could have swallowed a bone you should see the vet..

as a general rule NEVER feed a pet any "scraps" or food you wouldnt eat yourself.

I would phone my vet and tell him the problem, he could of swallowed some tiny bones and could be hurting him. It's best that you take him to a vet, he could be in pain, and don't give a cat anything but cat food.

Well if you just noticed it today you should wait untill tomorrow to take him/her to the vet, but whatever you do do NOT feed it any type of human medicine like asprin, benedryl, tylenol, ect. Hope this helped!!!! (:
