Is a grilled cheese sandwich with provolone any good?

Yes, i love it although the taste wouldn't be as strong as regular cheese, but if you really crave a grilled cheese, try,it, you could spice it up a bit with some sauce, what ever you have on hand.

Yes, it's great! I spread a little pesto on the inside of the sandwich before grilling, and put garlic spray on the outside. It's like a real deli sandwich.

provolone makes a great grilled cheese sandwich! cut sandwich into sticks and dip into any heated prepared pizza or spaghetti sauce. you can even add canadian bacon, deli ham or pepperoni slices to these to add a little extra zip. hope this helps!

It could taste good, only if you're using white bread and plain slicing provolone, it's probably kinda bland.
You need something savory like a sundried tomato or roasted pepper--or just a little bit of mustard.

Provolone is pretty mild. You can add a slice of tomato, onion, sundried tomato spread, pesto, etc. to give it some zing.

Or go shopping for some nice sharp cheddar.

It would be fine I would think. Try one using sliced ham, swiss cheese and using Rye bread. But don't use the processed swiss cheese, get the real thing. I thought it sounded odd till I tried it but they are really yummy.

Yeah, provolone is one good cheese. I love the creamy smoky flavor and it melts good too.
