I burn 1653 calories a day doing nothing, really, and I do about 1 hour of cardio and 30 crunchies a day. I only eat about 1020 calories, or less. Sometimes 980. Does that mean I'm starving myself?

I'm 13, 5'5", and I weigh 175... I'm trying to get to 150, because then I'll technically be healthy according to my doctor.

Oh, and I know I'm overweight. Don't tell me that. I asked a question about an hour or two ago, and people called me fat, pudgy, and other crap. I KNOW.

Thank you, guys. Now I know I have to eat more. I don't mean to starve myself. I want to do this the right and healthy way, and I had no idea. I'm going to go eat now. :)

Thank you<3

Yes you are starving yourself - which will make you lose water weight and muscle NOT fat and slow down your metabolism. Even if you reach 150lbs this way you will be at that weight for a minute and then start gaining all back.
Body needs 50cal/hour just for basic functioning (like when you are in coma), thats 1200cal/day and this is for a person under 150lbs. If you are above 150lbs then your body needs 70cal/hour which is 1680cal/day - if you eat anything under this you are starving your body.
you have to eat to lose fat. as soon as you understand you have to make permanent changes in your lifestyle (diet and exercise) to get permanent results you will lose weight (fat).

You really shouldn't go lower than 1,200 calories. Lower than 1,200...you are not providing your body with enough nutrients. You can still lose weigh and eat 1,200 calories a day. Good job on exercising everyday.
