You just need to make sure that your BIOS supports your CD-Rom, floppy, and hard drives, it should run directly off the defult BIOS drivers for these, the other stuff is installed with windows. If your CD-Rom is not supported by your BIOS it should have come with a floppy containing those drivers, you need to get a DOS-Boot disk boot to DOS and instal the drivers from the CD-Rom support disk, but this is generally not needed anymore.

Begin with START>Control Panel>System
After double-clicking System, look for the HARDWARE tab. You will see Device Manager button, click on it.
There will be a list of all your devices with a + next to it. Click on each plus to open that specific device. Then on each item listed, right click and go to PROPERTIES.
When the Properties box opens, click on the DRIVER tab. From there you will see your driver for that device/version/date (etc)
Make list from that, or you can see more in driver details button.
I suggest you burn a CD with all your drivers, as sometimes Windows install cannot find a driver or the right driver when you reformat.
Hope this helps. This is the best way if you have built your own system, have a gaming system, or want to be sure you have a working, non-corrupt driver before you reformat.
