why does my family make me go to family events?! I don't want to and they still make me. my cousin is a total crack head. He dosen't do anything. so I get bored and wanna leave!

my family is the same way, doesn't it seem ludicrous that despite the fact the your family does not get along they believe being together for 'family time' will make it better?
they do it to make it feel like a family, as if they have to be like everyone else and have family trips, quality time, etc.

You go out of respect for your parents, and the other elders in your family. I'm sure that all of your relatives aren't crack heads. Why don't you try to get to know them. Maybe you might learn something. Ask them questions. I have wonderful memories of times with relatives and their stories about so many interesting things. Try to have a nice time and maybe your cousin will come around ...maybe you can set an example to him.

Because one day they will all be dead.Get to know your family members while they are living.You may realize your aunts and uncles have some interesting things to tell if you'd listen once in a while.

i know the feeling myself there is a cousin i cant stand and didnt want at my wedding but my mom is forcing me to invite her she is rude crude and very malicous if no arrest are made during my wedding i will be amazed due my family is insane my mom like to be little me in front of people but at least this is my wedding day

my family makes me go to some family events i dont want to go to as well but you have to realize that even though your family members might have problems there still your family and thats probably why your family mAkes you go.
