i have an olive skin tone...so when i get a scar it gets very dark (brownish) i was wondering if mederma would work for me..also it says for "new scars use 8 weeks" what is considered a "new scar"? thank you.. :)

there is no harm in trying. if you are one of the people who form keloids, you could see a physician to consider steroid injections in the scar/keloid. some physicians may recommend to observe only though, good luck
