Heavy questions.... I can see that you really want to get this right. I think the next step is getting quiet within yourself and really chosing your own path. This is your life, your journey. What you do to become a good Christian.....you are already on the right path by asking the question. We, as God's children are not suppost to judge. So, in asking what makes a good christian really is not in our authority to define. Only God's authority. If your journey is one of light and love, I wouldn't worry what anyone thinks. As declaring personal denomination, once again this is your choice, your own free will. I personally,am not a member to one church or the other, but I do attend church weekly. In being a good christian, look at Jesus and the role model he left. That is the only truth. We loose our self ( the good parts too ) when we try too hard to to become something different, something that does not come naturally. I feel, it is possible that our true self and all of our God given unique and custom gifts that are within you sometimes are covered up by our desire to "get it right" In other words; Whether you are catholic, baptist, or whatever, God does not create junk and I feel that as long as you are doing your best to do what is right according to the example's Jesus life taught us then you are on the right path. Alot of these questions can be answered by yourself if you just get quiet and decide how YOU want to do it. Don't be afraid we are all learning just like you! Good Luck! Maybe you could find a pastor or a preist to further asnswer your questions.

There's a really good book called Becoming Human by Brian Taylor. Read it and it should help. It helped me. I wouldn't worry about automatically claiming a denomination, learn some about each and see where that leads you. As for being baptized again, that will depend if you end up choosing a different denomination besides Catholicism. Saluting? I have no idea what you're talking about... Christianity is not the military. Just be nice to people, don't shove your beliefs down everyone's throats. And take it one step at a time... let your faith build slowly and it will increase. But be careful of too much dogma or fundamentalism, you can go from being a "good" Christian to a "bad" Christian very quickly if you get to caught up in the rules but lose the spirit of it.

I was baptised in the Baptist Church when I surrendered my life to Christ. We need to make a public profession of our faith in front of a congregation of Christians. We need to have good Christian friends because when we go astray they can help us. If horrible trials come, they can help us. If the devil attacks and he will, they can help us. The devout prayer of a good Christian person avails much. Some Christians are so close to the Lord that their prayers are answered immediately. Finding a good church will be the hard part. What you need at the moment is the public profession of faith by surrendering your life to the Lord, baptism and then get into a good Bible study group. Good Christians want to know the Word of God. Without knowing the Word of God, how can we even know if we are doing God's will? You need a good Study Bible - check out the King James Version and the NIV-New International Version and pick whichever one that you like. A good Bible dictionary will help also.
Make sure that you pray and ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can teach us all things as we read the Word of God, the Holy Bible. He can put the love in our hearts for the Scriptures which makes reading them a lot easier. The Holy Spirit guides and comforts. I would never want to be without the Holy Spirit ever again.

First ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins once you realized what have you've done was wrong, then REPENT from your sins and trust Jesus Christ. You are not truely saved until you repent. That doesn't mean never sin again, because even as a christian you fall into sin here and there. Get baptized to show your commitment to Christ, baptism is basically a public statement that your going to follow Christ. Then read the bible, get into a good church, and read some christian books that can help you grow.

First of all jesus gave us the example to follow in the bible,no where in scripture does it state sprinkling of water on a baby, or a baby being baptized baby is born into sin but he is not at the age of accountability,he can not make the decision of excepting the Lord Jesus Christ,Jesus himself was baptized as an adult by his cousin John the baptist,Jesus said in John 3:5 except you be born of water and spirit ,you cannot enter into the kingdom of God,Acts 2:38 states Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost, ask jesus into your heart to be the Lord of your Life, he also states if you confess with your mouth that jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that he was raised from the dead you shall be saved. The holy spirit will take over and change you from the inside out as you are willing,Read your bible everyday to get a firm foundation of his word in your life start at the beginning, develop a prayer life,go to church as often as you can, take notes on the sermons apply what you hear and study to your life,as far as what to say to people when you meet them try being yourself try Hi how are you ,carry conversation from there, yes we are one in the body of Christ, the denominational names on the religions were placed there by man, your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is what is important, ask and pray for the Lord to guide you to the church he would have you grow at,I hope this ended all the confusion, feel free to contact me ,May God bless you as you walk with him my e-mail is Llisadrew@yahoo.com

First you have to ask Jesus into your heart. You are not a Christian just by doing good deeds or going to church however you do need to do those things. Pray to God. Admit you are a sinner. Tell him you believe that Jesus is God's son , died on the cross for your sins, and rose again. Confess your faith in him as your savior and Lord. Then contact your local church's pastor. He can help you out! God Bless!

You don't need a denomination you just need God. You don't need to be baptized, but it's a good thing as it shows you're commitment to turn from sin and follow Christ. There's no secret language, just talk normally. :)
Look for a good non-denominational church in your area and get hooked in.

You do not have to be baptized again. Your baptism was valid and there is only one Jesus so no matter what religion you choose you are baptized. I think you should become the denomination that is the one that Jesus himself started. The Catholic Church.

here is what is required to please God:
(Gal 3:6 KJV) Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
When you study God's word be careful to keep it in context with what it teaches and believe God. God will account you as righteous. Be a doer of the word and not a hearer only deceiving yourself.
