With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

See what I mean?

I am absolutely sure. You see I am not ignoring the past however, I think it is the past for a reason. When Jesus was crucified religion, society and culture changed all together! Catholics, Jews and many others thought their way was the right way. But the key is that religion is religion. Faith in Jesus Christ, what he stands for, what He has said and ordered is a way of life for a "christian." It is my understanding and belief that people who have these questions like yours or don't believe in God have a much greater value on earthy life than the life that God values the most; eternal life with Him. This is why tragedy and death are so hard to deal with. God did not create the world to have us love it or eachother more than Him. Our minds are far too small to think we can understand value and life. But I can say that I do know it is an insult to God to know that many of His children, if not all of us at some point, value life and earthly things more than we value the day we will come face to face with Jesus. The world has changed a lot and I believe it is partly because of God's grace and partly because people don't want God in this world at all. The Lord said that when the world ends; the rapture; He will come and save His children, those that have been faithful. None of those events you listed were the end of the world. Since those events have taken place God has become a friend and supporter to those who take refuge in Him, not the boogie man out to kill people or torture. I hope I've helped you to see a different side of it, I can def. see yours.

First off you can't blame Christians for the Holocaust. The Holocaust was on the Atheist. Hitler ran with the Darwin's theory of Evolution. Second Christians can not be blamed for Bosnia again it was the Atheist and Muslims. To many people talk about thing's they know nothing about. 3 of the 4 Crusades had nothing to do with religion at all they were money based. Yes there have been wars fought over religion. In most cases the people starting the wars know nothing about Christianity and what it teaches. Most ignorant people who think they are intelligent look at people who claim to be Christians and paint all Christians with their singularly blind view. When some one examines Christianity they have to look at Christ and take His teachings in the context that they were taught. Most narrow mind pin-headed views come from the so called intelligent Atheist ( there an oxymoron for you ). Jesus Christ does save! Man kills.

Sure, some people have done very bad things. That is also true of adherents of other religions. E.g. moslem behaviour in India against Sikhs and Hindus, or current islamic extremism, atheist behaviour in Russia and China in the 20C.

However, it depends if a person really is in relationship with God. A lot of people are just cultural believers - you actually have to put faith in Christ before benefitting from the salvation for us. Jesus did die on the cross for our sins, that happened whatever people like Mohammed or worldly folk might maintain. True believers receive forgivenness and the gift of the Holy Spirit (God immanently present to us). However you have to progress in your faith; once the Holy spirit is in your life you will be unhappy if not progressing in faith and into God's will. Christian faith isn't really about externals as is the case with most religions. People can wear veils and so, pray in fine form, and think they are close to God - but that isn't so actually. You must be forgiven to enter God's presence; and there has to be a proper God-provided means of atonement for God to do this with any human.

Yes, I am sure and confident in Jesus just like i know the sun rises and sets every single day. Jesus fulfilled his mission, the rest is left up to us. We have a choice to receive Gods( i refer to Jehovah the only true living GOD) saving grace through his word ( jesus) or face his wrath. As a believer of the gospel and a follower of Jesus I must be able to walk in my saviours footsteps. This is no simple task - for the world hated him so the world will hate all those who follow him. He gave up his life and was pronounced guilty although innocent because he spoke the truth. So it must be for his children. I do not fear death for it was conquered and defeated by Jesus and he has the power to raise the dead to life. I do fear God for he has the power to put to death the body and soul. And only on the day of judgement will we all appreciate the concept of putting a soul to death. The historical facts above are like labour pains before a child is born. See the beast has the power to distress and this can make you lose faith however he cannot contaminate. The ruler of this world, father of lies, a former bright morning star : Lucifer knows his time is near and his plan is to make us lose faith. Wear faith like a shield to protect from the flaming arrows of the evil one: Find the armor of GOD. Everyone shall reap what they sow, on mount Zion an elite cornerstone is placed if you believe in him you shall not be confounded. Build on the true foundation and the entire world could be falling around you but you shall not perish for God will put a hedge (angels) around you.
Be advised faith with no action is like trying to draw water with a hole in the bucket.

No, I don't, what does that have to do with me or my salvation?

My relatives were English and native American, I am not even related to those people, and even if I were what has that got to do with me those things happened hundreds of years, or even over a thousand years ago.

I never belonged to the Nazis, the Chinese Christian cult or the Jesuits.

And even if Hitler were my Uncle(He is not) why would anyone hold that against me or my church. I carefully and methodically chose the Christian groups that I am affiliated with so that I am not involved with any people who are prejudiced against people or unloving toward other cultures. I will not even donate money to groups that are un-christlike.

Man, where did you study church history?

What you attribute the Christians you attribute to the wrong peoples. Christians did not do all that you claim. In fact they were being persecuted and murdered by these

SO CALLED

Christians. The big culprits are

NOT

the Christians

BUT,

Pagan Rome, Papal Rome, and Protestantism;

NOT

Christians.

Post Script: Did I fail to mention that

CHRISTIANS

were used by emperors as sport or human torches? Not to mention what Romanism did to Christians. So I ask you, How could they have done all those things you presume that they did?

He doesn't even care about answers. He's quite content to lie and hope a few simple minded people actually believe some of propaganda assumed in the question.

there are those who claim to be Christian who really aren't
there is a difference between people actually living for Christ in a personal way and those that cling to the religion as a social dogma
christ spoke of many fake christs, and anti-christs, and teachers of apostasy who devise things in their hearts based off of their own wisdom and not God's wisdom
the book of Revelations speaks of the Harlot in the end times and Christ tells his children to come out of her
in other words, some great church proclaiming Christ but is really false, that "even the elect will be deceived" and be in her
I'd say that only 30-40% of people claiming to be Christians are actually Christians
Christ even said that many will even do miracles in my name and say to me "look what I've done for you Lord" and I will say "Depart from me for I do not know you"

Jesus will NOT be saving the christians...
Jesus saved himself, because he accomplished this:

Created a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and saved his Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and started his journey back home, to Heaven.

<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

christians created hell - so shall they go there - to burn in their own hell..............
