In my humble opinion as a Theravada Buddhist..all experience is dualistic in nature although your question places an OR in the equation, I feel that an And is appropriate.

There is Dualism in all observable experience such as you've mentioned and I consider this Dualism to be a natural part of existence.

Many would premise a Non Dual existence, yet I would disagree.

Peace from a Buddhist....

I believe there are opposites, as you suggest!

up & down
male & female
north & south
east & west
appropriate & inappropriate
permissable & nonpermissable
light & dark
hot & cold

Amazingly man has been given Free Will to choose.
If man chooses wisely he will seek "Wisdom" to evaluate and understand the differences in these opposites.

Right and wrong is really determined by society. If you doing something you will face the consequences. If you do something "good" you will be praised by society. If you do something "wrong" you will be punished by society.

I think love is wishing well of someone no matter the circumstances. I think hate is wishing harm upon someone.
