To the first answer-the Bible implies it. Just as the Bible implies Adam & Eve's sexuality. Pick and choose, Pick and choose. keep this up and you'll end up believing in God only knows.

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them but He. And He knows whatsoever is in the land and in the sea. And there falls not a leaf but He knows it; nor is there a grain in the deep darkness of the earth, nor anything green or dry, but it is recorded in a clear book.

If God is all knowing, didn't he know before creating adam and eve that eve would take the apple, eat it, then tempt adam with the apple? In that case wouldn't we have been better of with Jack and Jill? Why couldn't god have just punished adam and eve and left the rest of us good folk alone?

I don't believe the adam and eve story. I think it is a simple example that when one chooses bad over good they will be punished. Not necessarily punished by god, but by themselves, in their own minds (guilt complex). Even murderers have to live with the guilt of what they have done especially if they are not caught.

But if the adam and eve story is true, then it is living proof that god is not all knowing. If he had known he'd have put someone else there. And did things spiral so out of control between the time of adam and eve and now that this is where we are: a war torn world? didn't god see this coming?

I'm going to hell for answering this one this way. But god is all knowing so he probably knew my answer ahead of time.

Who says He didn't? Don't you remember your parents giving you the chance to tell the truth even when they knew you did something wrong? Another way to look at this: Maybe God created humans with free will because He wanted something unpredictable. There are lots of views on Genesis. Some christians believe that these weren't actual events, but a story showing a much bigger picture. I could go on all day with this, but I think I'll stop here... Hope I helped.

The problem with religion is whatever your opinion it is bound to offend many more people than will agree with you.

Finding flaws in the bible is easy. Finding flaws in the Christian church or any Religious institution is even easier.

I would read it again with an open mind and decide if you have learned anything good from it. Treat it as a book not the divine word of God I think you will find it is quite worthwhile.

No I am not a christian or even religious. I just like things that make us consider our purpose and the nature of morality.

Adam and Eve are just mythological characters. We evoled from Apes I mean think about it Adam and Eve have children but then who are their children going to mary each other gross. I think there are a lot of holes in the stories of the Bible.

God knows everything. Just because God asked Adam and Eve where they were doesn't that he knew. Maybe the reason God asked them was because of the apple thing.

God has perfectg control over all his faculties. That means he can choose to see something or not to see it, to know something or not to know. \when we ask forgiveness for our sins, those sins are genuinely forgotten.

god created man with a need for privacy, which we all have today, so there would be times when a person would not want to be watched. At those time, God could choose not to see what a person is doing. However, the person's conscience will betray them and make known to God what they have done or not done.

God already knew, he was giving them the opportunity to take responsibility for their actions, they tried to shift the blame instead. I sometimes wonder if the punishment would have been less if they'd admitted their guilt.

I suppose it's like a mother looking at the chocolate-smeared face of their child, and asking the rhetorical question, "Do you know what happened to the chocolate cake that I told you not to touch?"

God in fact did know. He was calling to them in which he said, "Where are you?" to have them expose themselves. You were correct in saying that God is all knowing. It is just like in the ancient Greek stories of when a king would find his wife engaging with his brother behind his back. He would say, "What is this?!?". Obviously, he knew what was going on. It was, just like in the bible, basically a rhetorical question.

gods knowledge was clouded by the lies of the devil. god probably did know and was just waiting for adam or eve to be a good person and come clean and repent. if they just admitted their sin ,there woulnt have been as severe a consequence, just like the catholic confesion.
