Did you know that several years ago congress published a statement that by being elected "there voters had given them the power to make decisions without further input from said voters" Not many people responded to that notice... and things have pretty much been going to hell in a hand cart ever since! Take back the power! It's "Of the people,By the people,For the people"... NOT well you elected my so"I" can do what ever I want... I love America with all of my heart because it is a beautiful country full of some of the greatest people on Planet Earth. But we got lazy. We LET the Government take control. GO VOTE. WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMAN. GET IN A PROTEST MARCH IF YOU HAVE TO. Together we can make a change.
OK. My speech is over... but I see a very bad storm coming if a lot of things aren't changed very soon. You all have a nice day.

The second amendment of our Bill of Rights gives us the "right to keep and bear arms" against an oppressive and tyrannical government. But, most of us interpret that 'right' as the freedom to walk down the street with an AK-47 or bazooka over our shoulder.
You're right: we need 'everyday people' in Congress. But, Congress is right now trying to give themselves a $4,400 pay raise because it takes that kind of money to attract 'qualified' and 'experienced' candidates to politics. Politics is the only career where 'experience' is a detriment, not an asset. The longer you're in Congress, the better you get at playing "Let's Make A Deal" and ignoring the will of the people. You get fat and sassy, arrogant and lazy, and as hubris sets in, you honest believe your sh*t doesn't stink!
Members of Congress have long ago forgotten that they are our public servants - not a privileged royalty onto themselves. It's time to throw all the bums out and replace them with "everyday people" who will take an oath of poverty, pledge themselves to term limits, and then go back to their regular jobs while others come in to serve. Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way overdue. -RKO- 06/30/07

first thing, impeach does not mean remove from office. it can lead to removal from office.
next thing, members of congress cannot be impeached. only the president , VP and federal judges can be impeached.
there is a process for removing congressmen from office, but it is not impeachment.
many people mistakenly think that impeachment means remove from office. it does not. read the constitution. look up the definition in an encyclopedia.
----------------------
we need term limits. change the constitution to allow this.

Unfortunately, the way the system is set up, it would require Congress to impeach Congress. Won't happen.

If your gripe is immigration and congress' severe apathy and negligence to do the right thing, you are absolutely correct. Our borders are a joke and everyone knows it. All we can do is vote for the candidates with the strongest stand on protecting our nation against illegal immigration.

I like your idea, but have you read through the "debate" on here? We everyday citizens don't necessarily have a lot of patience left. All we need is a no-holds-barred bar brawl in the Capitol building. LOL
