When your family and your boyfriend's family go to dinner for the first time, who should pay?

Who invited who? If your family set the whole thing up, then they are (more or less) obligated to pay for the dinner. If it was a mutual decision to go out, then each family should be responsible for thier half of the bill.

I say everyone should throw in ten bucks to pay the bill. Everyone is eating, so pay for what you buy.
