I COMPLETELY believe in the afterlife. I was 8 when my grandfather died. He was my mothers father. I was 1/2 way across the country visiting my father for the summer. When he died, I KNEW (and I wasnt even told that he was sick). He came to me in a dream (I think... its seemed real), sat down on the edge of my bed, brushed my hair out of my face and told me that he would ALWAYS watch over me and that he loved me but it was time for him to go! I woke up KNOWING that he was gone already. Later that day, my mom called to tell me that grandpa had died the night before.
So... YES.. I will ALWAYS remember that and I KNOW that he has forever been with me!
Also, when my grandma died last year (we were VERY VERY close), my son got visits from her on a regular basis. He was 3 at the time and would tell me that she would come and visit him when he was in his bed and sing songs to him and read to him. He was also VERY close to his "gg" and it was a very hard loss for him. But he, to this day, still talks to her and gives us "messages" from her.
At times I will "smell" her or see a shadow out of the corner of my eye and know it was her "essence."
As far as "ghosts" or those in Heaven having "better things to do," I am SURE that they do... but I also believe that love doesnt DIE when the body does. Love is part of the SOUL and its the soul that goes to Heaven.
Do I think that they are ALWAYS around? No. But I do think that since they DO LOVE US, they do come and visit... much like we go and visit our parents, grandparents or other family members... to check in and see how things are going. We simply cant SEE them.. but if you open up your mind and your heart.. you CAN feel them!

No. If such a thing as an afterlife was real (and I don't believe it to be) I think the spirits of dead people would have MUCH better things to do than spend time watching what's going on here on earth, like we watch TV. That wouldn't be a very fun afterlife for all that some people think it's supposed to be some kind of 'heaven' and great, happy place.
Chances are, when ya die, you're dead and that's it. However i do think reincarnation may be an option in which cause ones essence would be preparing to return to earth, and couldn't be bothered with watching over the people here they left behind when they died.

I believe that the government is watching over everything we all do.
I do have a feeling that there is some kind of a force making sure that some things go ok in my life, although I am unsure as to who or what the source would be.

Yes I do believe that special people in our lives who have passed on watch over us like guardian angels. I was very close to my Grandad and I can feel his presence at times. Especially when I am stressed or upset about something, it seems like I can still hear his voice telling me all is going to be alright.

I believe that they will be able to be there until you can accept the fact that they will no longer be with you all the things are really in your mind and if it is in our mind then we can convince our self that it is true.
