My stepmom invited my brothers ex wife, her new husband and their baby to my stepsisters birthday party and she did not invite my brother because she really doesn't care for him. They have done this before and they do not tell my brother. They know how much this would hurt him. I don't know what to do. I really don't want to go, but I don't want to punish Molly for her mother's ignorance. Can you please give me advice on how to talk with my dad and his wife to help them to see how this is wrong.

I am an adult. And I think the ex wife doesn't really understand the whole situation. They don't tell her they don't invite Travis when they invite her. She really is a nice woman.

Classic divide the family manuever, I despise drama like this. Just follow your gut instinct dear. If you dont want to attend, then don't, but tell them why.

Your step mother is not ignorance, she knows exactly what she is doing. She is manipulative and mean spirited. You don't say how old you are. If you are an adult and out of the house, you need to decide if this situation is worth the drama. Your brother should be the one to speak up to his father and step mother and ask them not to do this again. Why the ex wife would participate in such a way is reprehensible. If you are not an adult, I wouldn't get involved either, this is your brothers situation not yours. I would have a talk with your father and tell him how this kind of treatment makes you feel. I don't think its going to matter though, he already knows what is going on.

Well if you want to make your point then go spend the day with your brother and tell Molly what is going on and if she agrees with what your stepmom is doing she will understand! Blood should be thicker than step blood. He is your brother and they are being mean. Do not go and spend the day with him
