Hi RR........Yes, I have many times but it seems they don't want the TRUTH...they want to argue religion and on a real good day they'd like a sick perverted response......First they would need to understand that the Word of God was given to ALL of us for correction & training in righteousness (& that also includes rebuking)....from God Himself....not something that man made up......

I haven't met many on a personal level and those I may bump into don't bring up their non-belief preference. According to the latest statistics agnostics and atheists are still a small percentage of the population, if we can believe those figures as on this site it appears there is a much greater percentage.
I haven't read one valid reason why God does not exist and/or has no interest in mankind. From my understanding there are too many reasons to believe that God is real and why he takes an interest in his creation. Scientific proof shows evidence of a Creator whilst scripture tells why.
After establishing a common ground, as we all have similar concerns in life, I would ask them why they believe as they do, (there are many reasons for disbelief) then I would offer to give the reasons why I do believe by using scientific data (there is overwhelming evidence) and then would incorporate scripture. Open minded individuals are usually reasonable to fair discussion and will weigh the facts carefully. There are those who do not want to believe so I would not try to convince them otherwise.
Offhand these three scriptures I would share where God shows who and what He is. -Isa 42:5-9; 40:25,26; Acts 17:24-28

nicely i don't have a faith. yet upon deductive prognosis on the tip of the line i'm extra apt to end that the universe has some smart designing tendency than it rather is random. even in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it may desire to be random yet orginization to me is extra plausible. yet i could desire to be incorrect. My reminiscence and my thoughts could be actual yet I actually have a tricky tome procuring that my know-how is a neurochemical phantasm. by fact for there to be an phantasm there nees to be something to fool.

Yeah. Why would an agnostic or atheist try to use the bible to prove their point when they don't believe the bible. It seems hypocritical to me. I reply to them all the time. They need the most "direction".

I respond to everyone but sometimes you just know when a person is trying to be funny or just plain silly...their are some that are seriously confused and really want answers so I try to help them out...some try to confuse you by twisting up the word of God that is why God gave you a mind of your own to think for yourself so just always try not to give into certain situations when you see they twist the word of God just pray for them...and respond...smiles

Yes; I have replied to them several times on here! Sometimes on here in the past, I indicated to them part of their feelings against Christians is related to 'Christians' not getting their act together. Example; The scriptural 'old testament' is the law of Moses, not Genesis-Malachi. The law of Moses is referred to as the 'old testament' 2 Cor. 3:13-14 KJV. There are other places where additions to God's word do not match it also. If one does not believe me (and my assertions); they can email me presently.

Are you...quite possibly....Captain...Kirk?
Anywho...there are some nasty verses in the Bible, such as the one where we're instructed that it's okay to beat a slave so long as their teeth and eyes are intact, and so long as they don't die within two days from the beating.
Or the one about stoning non-virgin women if they try to marry.
To say that these are the inerrant word of God is to suggest that you think we should have slaves, and that you hope your daughter doesn't have pre-marital sex so you don't have to stone her on your doorstep.

I've replied to a few of them. We've had phone conversations too. They are pretty kind and witty. I'd like to give them a fluffy hug!

My brothers best friend is agnostic.
I reply to Athiests all the time, there's nothing wrong with it. I don't respond with anything religious, because that is pointless with one of them.
