you can do as much as you want but crunches are not gona make you lose any belly fat -ever!!! crunches build and tone muscle -they do not burn fat.
the only fat burning exercise is cardio (running, swimming, jogging, spinning, rope jumping etc), do them 4-6 times a week for 30-50min and combine with light weight training a few times a week.

The answer is counterintuitive. Zero! Crunches increase the size of your muscles but do less for burning belly fat than say, swimming. Have you ever noticed you can tell by a person's face if they are fit. They don't do face exercises! Do whole body aerobic exercises, burn more calories and eat less if you really want to trim down on your stomach. A more minor concern is stress which tends to tell the body to place more pounds in the stomach area instead of elsewhere. If you could cut down on stress (haha) it might marginally help.

Well, my friend there is only one solution to your question, but let me tell you few things before giving you the answer.
1- I do own one of the best made treadmill in the world (American made) equipped with heart rate, stress body level, climber, Auto mood to fit your body desire of loosing weight or shaping body mussel of any part of your body....You name it this machine has it (Is for sell if anyone here wants it)
2- Own the original stair master build in Seattle, Washington. which now they are out of business. For sell too!!
3- Own top of the line Nordic ski machine. For sell too!!
4- This one is a hoot, TV advertised twister machine by Jake, Guaranties you lose your love handle and 6" inches of your waist...Hahaha Not for sell, it is my reminder of being stupid

Do it every day with your partner at least three times a day don't cheat; I will guarantee, you will be burning 6000 calorie and every part of your body will be getting worked out, and result will be 50 pounds of lost weight in one month with pleasure, while you are eating anything that you like to eat.
I have been doing this since 2000, and am still losing fat and gaining mussel. Now, I'm to a point that I can't quiet even if I wanted to.

You cant lose weight off your stomach by doing crunches. It doesnt work like that. The best way to lose fat is cardio. Lots and lots of running or swimming or biking. Doing crunches just works the stomach muscles. You will burn some calories but cardio will give you more noticeable fat reduction.

you cannot lose your belly by doing crunches b/c it just makes your abs bigger. to lose your belly you need to do cardiovascular activity. If you do a lot of crunches and no cardiovascular it can make your belly look bigger. you should diet as well. Oh, btw you must be 10% body fat or less for abs to show

I did 400 a day for one month and looked exactly the same when I had finished as when I started so now I don't bother anymore.
